CNC VMC Programmer

IMS,Inc. is looking for a qualified candidate to perform CNC machining on complex Compression molds and Tooling/Prototypes.

An understanding of print reading,G-code, and tooling required. All programming to be done off-line from solid models or prints using Surfcam Velocity. Controls used are Fanuc 18i and Fadal CNC88. This is a hands-on position from development through inspection.

• Programming to include determining the correct tooling and tool paths to use with CAT40 and CAT50 machines equipped with 4th axis and Angle Head attachments.
• Set-up to include making any special fixtures or special tooling.
• Run jobs and/or instruct operators on running and checking procedures.
• Routine maintenance of CNC machines.

CNC VTC Machinist

IMS,Inc. is looking for a machinist to produce quality compression molds and tooling on a late model O-M Ltd. CNC Vertical Boring Lathe with 78" turning capacity.

A thorough understanding of print reading,G-code and machining techniques required. Most programming to be done off-line using Surfcam. Fanuc 18iT controls. Additionally horizontal lathe experience with Okuma IGF or Hitachi Seiki Multi Seiki programming a plus.

• Programming to include determining the correct machining methods and efficient paths.
• Set-up to include making any fixturing and work holding required.
• Machinist will produce parts and inspect to drawing.
• Routine maintenance of machines.
